Arkat fought tirelessly against chaos and the evil cult of Gbaji, first in Arolanit, then in Seshnela and finally in Ralios. It was here that the great hero began the long journey of spiritual transformation that ultimately enabled him to destroy his great enemy. This order regards Arkat as a saint and the saviour of the world, and encourages its adherents to follow their idol's example.
All members of the order must submit to a discipline that closely resembles that of the Hrestoli, scorning all worldly possessions other than the traditional arms and armour of a knight and demanding a devotion to chivalry and the art of war. Promising knights go beyond this, however, dedicating themselves to an even stricter discipline of the mind, body and spirit, and learning the heroquesting arts first discovered by Arkat.
This order is particular to Syran, although it shares some characteristics with the order of the same name in Azilos.

Unusually for an Order, dedicated followers of Arkat Liberator may also learn his Secret: the Heroquesting Path. Those who do are also taught abilities similar to Symbolic Sight and Create Portal of Power, which are normally only possessed by adepts. It is said that some members learn other secrets, and links have been drawn between this and the rumoured existence of the Sword Path and Shadow Path secret societies.
